My Hair Care Routine: Some Do's and Don'ts

I have been battling with the hair for as long as I can remember.. A bad fringe day is worse than a bad hair day. How to style my hair is another thorny question.. Not to mention which hair cut suits me the best..

After years of struggling, I seem to have finally found my way to deal with the hair problem and maintained a relatively healthy looking hair. Here are some of my at-the-moment favourite hair products I would like to share with you and some Dos and Donts of how I care for my hair.

Don't wash your hair everyday! I wash my hair every other day, and always use hair conditioner or hair mask. I recently bought L'oreal EverPure Colour Hair and Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner (1&2). I find that they are very good quality of shampoo and conditioner, so the next day I went back to get the EverRiche Hair Mask (3), too. The hair mask is wonderful. It leaves hair all silky and smooth. I must mention how much I love EverPure's smell. If you are also a fan of rosemary, you will LOVE this hair product. It makes me want to sing when I shampoo my hair! :)

Don't blow dry your hair too often! It's been nearly a year I try not to blow dry my hair and I can see a significant difference. My hair is so much healthier now! After towel drying, I use the Tangle Teezer (4) to brush through the damp hair and apply leave-in conditioner.

Do conditioning your hair! I love to use leave-in conditioners. My motto 'less is more' does not apply when I take care of my hair. Hair cream, serum, and oil, I use them all! (I have very dry and damaged hair. You perhaps don't need to use all of them, and only need a small amount.)

My favourite hair cream is Phyto7 (5). I usually mix it with a drop or two Bodyshop grapeseed serum (6). I apply this cream/serum combo directly onto my hair and brush it through with my fingers. Really working and rubbing in the product onto the hair. Sometimes I will also use a little bit (2-3 drops) of John Freida Oil Elixir (7) to run through the tips of my hair. As you can see, it is a very rich hair care I am using, so I only do it after I wash my hair. I don't do this everyday.

If I don't have enough time and need to use hair dryer. I will definitely spray some TRESemme Heat Defense (8) before I blow dry.

Last but not least, Don't over styling and Do have your hair trimmed regularly to keep the hair looking healthy.

Hope it is helpful! Please leave me a comment and let me know what your favourite hair products are. Or if you have any good tips to keep hair shinning and fabulous, do let me know too!

Wen xx
