Brushless Airbrushed Foundation: Max Factor, Chanel, and L'Oreal

These are three of my favourite foundations at the moment. I am loving these because they all give a very natural, almost like no make-up finish, which I love!! If you are also loving a light coverage and no fuss, no mistake foundation, these are definitely for you!

First of all, I apply all of these three foundations with fingers. I am sure you can use brushes, but I found it is easier with fingers and saves time.

Second, they are all light (to medium) coverage foundations. So it means it only evens out the skin tone but doesn't cover up the flaws. If you want to cover some pigmentation or imperfection, must go back to use the concealer. I, however, fall in love with the light coverage foundation. I find that letting a little bit of imperfection shine through, it actually makes the skin look more beautiful. I guess it is because the skin looks more real and natural, and it is more complimentary to your make-up.

Now, let's see the swatches and how it individually performs on my skin! Hope you will find it helpful!

1. Max Factor Whipped Cream Foundation 45 Warm Almond

My dear friend Veronique recommended me to try this, and I am really loving it. This foundation has a very unique texture. It looks like whipped cream in the pot and once it goes on to the skin, it turns into powder. So smooth and smells like Almond (Don't know if all smell like almond, or just the one I am using because it is called Warm Almond).

It gives a semi-matte finish. As you can see, the shade is probably a little too pale for me, bu it is the best shade I could find from this range that suits me. It only has a handful of shades to choose from (which is the same issue for the other two foundations), but I can work with it. If it is really too pale I will apply bronzer to warm it up!

2. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua 20 Beige

This is my all time favourite foundation! It is easy to blend. Water base, and needs a good shake before applying. It gives such a great natural looking finish with a hint of glow! It gives a dewy finish without unnecessary shine. Fabulous!

Although it only has a few shades, but the colour no. 20 looks great on me. The coverage is lighter, compared to the other two, but I find this is the most long lasting one.

I highly recommend this foundation!!

3. L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau de Teint Warm Ivory

This foundation is just like water (so shake before applying), and when it goes on to the skin it gives sort of a powder finish. It is not too matte, quite dewy, very easy to blend. I find that you can build on the coverage (to medium) by adding more and it stays light, won't turn into cakey. Very lovely!

But it does seem to oxidise a little after a few hours of wearing (at least for my oily to dry combination skin). So be mindful and remember to bring a compact with you to touch up!

My favourite of all is...

Chanel Vitalumere Aqua! I love all of them but if I have to choose one, I would go for Chanel because I love this dewy but not too shining finish and the shade is great for my skin!

How about you? Have you tried these foundation already? What is your favourite one at the moment? Please tweet me @wentalkstoshoes I am always in the search of the best foundation!
